Quilt Pricing
All quilts are different, we can take ideas from quilts you see here on this
site, or other quilts you may have seen. The quilts are priced using a formula
based on the difficulty of the piecing (design), the finished size, and the type
of quilting. This page has a general guideline of pricing for your interest. Once
we discuss the scope of your project, then we will agree on a price for
completion.
All of these prices are based on the client supplying the fabric for the
quilt (front, back, borders, and binding). If the client wishes to have
Original Quilts purchase fabric or embellishments, those additional costs will
be added to the final invoice.
All money is quoted in United States dollars. Client pays all shipping costs.
100
Good Wishes Quilt Pricing (email and ask if
accepting new orders)
The pricing is based on 100 fabrics for your 100 Good Wishes
Quilts. Pricing varies if you have more or less fabrics. Pricing can also vary
if we make the quilt larger or smaller. Most of these quilts are larger quilts.
Other quilt patterns can be done, however they will need to be priced
accordingly. For a rough estimate crib size start at $200, twin start at $400, full start at $500, queen start at
$600, and king start at $800.
If there are left over fabrics from the 100
wishes fabrics, we can also make quilted covers for the notebook
you keep
the wishes in (personalized with the baby's name on it). Notebook covers
start at $50. Or we can also make smaller baby blanks with leftover fabrics
- priced according to size.

Pinwheel:
The pinwheel quilt is $700.00 for labor only. This quilt is approx 66" x
80" You'll need to select the fabric for the back of the quilt, the binding,
borders, the background of the quilt, and the color in the pinwheel.

Closed Pinwheel:
The Closed Pinwheel quilt is $700.00 for labor only. This quilt is approx
70" x 70" You'll need to select the fabric for the back, binding, borders,
background, and the color in the pinwheel.

Sashing:
Sashing Quilts are $550.00 for labor only. This is a twin size quilt
measuring approximately 69" x 90". You'll need to select the fabric for the
back of the quilt, the binding, and the sashing/borders of the quilt.

Photo
Quilt Pricing (not currently accepting new orders)
These are suggested sizes and pricing. I have designed these
quilts to maximize the amount of fabric needed. Each of these quilts only need
one length of fabric for the back of the quilt. If you'd like a larger quilt
designed, I'm happy to work with you to make what you'd like.

12 Blocks:
This is a small lap quilt or wall hanging size. The photos are 6"
x 6", with sashing and a border the quilt measures approx 40" x
48". Labor for this quilt is $300.

15 Blocks:
This is a larger lap size. The photos are 4" x 4", with
sashing and a border the quilt measures approx 40" x 60". Labor
for this quilt is $325.

16 Blocks:
This is a smaller lap/wall hanging size. The photos are 4" x
4", with sashing and a border the quilt measures approx 40" x
40". Labor for this quilt is $300.

20 Blocks:
This is a medium lap size. The photos are 4" x 4", with
sashing and a border the quilt measures approx 40" x 46". Labor
for this quilt is $300.

Memorial
Quilts / Alumni Quilts (not currently accepting new orders)
Memory, alumni or memorial quilts can be made out of many types of clothing
such as ties, suits, shirts, uniforms, artwork, photos, and documents etc.
Memorial quilts take more time because it takes time to cut and
prepare the clothing for quilting by removing the stretch in the fabrics.
Please ensure all fabrics are properly cleaned prior to sending them.

Wall Hanging:
This is a wall hanging size. The photos/blocks are 6" x 6",
with sashing and a border the quilt measures approx 36" x 36".
Depending on the amount of photo or embroidery work, this can run between
$250 - $350.

Small Lap:
This is a small lap size. with a border the quilt measures approx
49" x 57". Depending on the amount of items, and photos this can
range from $350 - $600.
|
|
|
Large Lap:
This is a large lap size. with a border the quilt measures approx
76" x 76". Depending on the amount of items, and photos this can
range from $900+.

|
Full/Queen:
This is a bed size quilt. With a border the quilt measures approx
84" x 95". Depending on the amount and type of clothing, this
can range from $850 - $1500 for the piecing and finish work. The quilting
may be quoted separately.

T-shirt Quilts

T-Shirts (Sashing Style):
If you have logos which are of
equal size, and can be made into equal size blocks the pricing is as
follows:
12 shirts (3 across, 4 down) $175 (no sashing or borders)
- $250 with sashing & borders.
16 shirts (4 across, 4 down) $225 (no sashing or borders)
- $275 with sashing & borders.
20 shirts (4 across, 5 down) $285 (no sashing or borders)
- $300 with sashing & borders.

T-Shirts (Mosaic Style):
If the logos are not of equal size, you may want to
choose a mosaic style. Count the total number of logos (front, back, sleeve,
etc) and photos wanted in the quilt. Pricing for the mosaic quilts are as follows:

Children's
Quilts
Children's quilts can be patchwork quilts, or themed quilts using appliqué
or other techniques. This is a general guideline for pricing, but it will
depend on the pattern selected. Crib size starting at $90. Twin starting at
$375. Full starting at $500. Queen starting at $650. King starting at $900.
These prices are based on using standard fabric from the fabric store. If
using clothing the pricing is higher for the additional time in preparing
the clothing to quilt with.
Duvet
Covers, Bed Skirts, and Pillows (not currently accepting new orders)

Duvet Covers:
Either same fabric or different fabrics on each side,
include cording around sides and head of duvet with a button close. Fabric
is sold separately.

Bed Skirts:
Solid white fabric between the mattresses, a strip of
fabric around the edge in case the mattress moves so you don't see the
white, and gathered to hang, with a rounded corner. Fabric is sold
separately.

These pillow casings are quoted as having a flap in the
back so the pillow slips in. $5 extra for adding a zipper. Pillow forms
and fabric are not included in this price.

Embroidery: Pricing includes one hooping of embroidery for a label either on the front or back of the quilt. It is limited to 8 words or less. Additional
embroidery will be charged at $10.00 per hooping.
Terms: Client will pay 50% of the fee at time of placing the order and
signing the contract. Once the quilt or product is complete, a photo of the quilt
or product will be
sent to the client (unless they are local) and final payment is due prior to
receiving the final quilt or product. All products are made custom to your
order.
Payment: Original Quilts accepts money orders, and personal checks. Personal
checks need to clear your bank before final goods are shipped to client. Make
checks payable to Original Quilts. You may pay by credit card via
www.paypal.com.
The above pricing are estimates only. Final pricing will be included in your contract.
Email info @ originalquilts.com (take out the spaces) to
place an order. Just send me an email telling me what you are interested in.
Once we are in agreement I can email you a contract to sign and then you can send
it back to me
with your deposit and fabrics.
Shipping/handling charges are added to the above mentioned
prices.
